wireless headphone help

im looking for wireless headphones that r good quality. price isnt an issue rite now but under $100 would b nice.

forgot to mention that these headphones r for my computer and i just want them to b wireless cuz im trying to go for a more wireless setup. (wireless keyboard, mouse, etc.)

You should check out the sony shop site in your country and see what they are offering, I was going to get a pair last year but I thought I maybe should built an HTPC first before I bought all the perifery . Sorry I cant give a link but in on 56k at the mo

My friend had the top of the line wirless Sony headphones.

They were a piece.

They lost connection all the time, drain batteries quickly, etc
One fun thing about them, though, was that you could pick up phone conversations from handheld phones. The headphones were 900Mhz, so we used to walk down the dorm hallway and listen to what people were saying

Although I haven't had any experience with Sennheiser's wireless headphones, I'd still probably consider buying from them.

Sennheiser has outstanding heaphones, but when you look on their page, ignore their MSRP prices (you can usually get them for 25-50% cheaper than that price on amazon.com or a similar site. While you go to a retailer, check their user reviews if they have them and see what people think about the headphones.

Im really surprised about the sony headphones, almost all my audio equiptment has been sony and everything has been fine. Id have to have a shot of them in one of the high street shops before I bought a pair then.

I totally agree that Sony makes good audio equipment and I usually don't have a problem with them.

I'm just saying their typical high quality doesn't necessarily carry over to their wireless headphones product line.

Then again the pair that I tried may have been a random case.

when I went to France last month, there was actually a small museum which had a bunch of sennheiser RS 45's playing a tour guide loop thing. For that purpose they seemed great..but what you have to realize is no matter where you look (unless you look into super expensive $250+ phones) wirelss headphones are REALLY worse off than anything wired at a fraction of hte price. The headphones I listened to were ok, but it was pretty much similar to FM radio in terms of quality (and i'm pretty sure the signal was from a CD player, so the source wasn't the problem). The range seemed great, since I could walk all through the museum with them, but i don't know how many receivers they had, or what kind of system they were using to relay the signal. Another funny note on them though, there was a button you could push to "lock on" to a wireless channel which would give the best reception, but sometimes when i'd press it, i'd get a staticy radio station which sounded like a soccer match lol. In the end though, unless you're only gonna want headphones for radio/phone quality signal, wireless is not the way to go.
If you're feeling bold, check out www.head-fi.org ...try to stay away from the people ranting that any headphones under $1000 are dogcrap, some people could help you out with somevery nice price/performance ratio headphones.

Ya, I wouldn't get wirless headphones for anything that you want good audio quality.

Personally, I have the Sennheiser HD-280 Pro's: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/04974

They're extremely comfortable, phenomenal sound, block outside noise, and they have a massive coiled cord, so I can walk a good 10 feet away from where it's plugged in without worrying about anything.
