Ive been using the logitech mx1000 then mx1100 for years, but I feel like they lack pinpoint accuracy I might find in a gaming mouse.

Refuse to go back to wired after switching to wireless, kind of like how i could never go back to a single monitor after having dual if you know what I mean.

From what I've seen the mamba is the best option? Pretty steep price tag so I am a bit curious if its really worth it???

Number one thing you should know is that the mouse will not charge if your rig is off.....the charger doesn't have an independent power supply. That eventually made me ditch the mouse and get a xai. Which is outstanding btw. If your rig is on all the time then you would be fine. It is excellent as far as accuracy and no lag gaming. And it would be a big upgrade IMO.

I have been using a Mamba for a few months now, and I think it is a pretty good mouse.

When I purchased mine it was jittery...but a firmware update solved that no problem.

Few issues. The cover over the indicator light came off. The rubber thumb membrane also came off. Both were fixed with some super glue no problem.

The software is VERY unresponsive. It can take up to 1 minute to make a change, as the software just hangs there. But the software does work well, once you get it to where you want the mouse.

The battery life is about 8 hours of use. 24+ standby. It will not charge without the PC on, like was said. BUT the quick swap from wireless to wired is like 10 seconds.

Overall the mouse is fantastic in games. The macros and game swaps are flawless. I LOVE the extra 2 mouse keys on the left click.

The heft of the mouse is perfect also. The shape is that of the Death Adder, which I felt was the best shaped mouse ever.

Bling factor is up there also. The base really is an eye catcher.

Overall I would say the mouse is 7/10.

I use a tray for my mouse and keyboard.....the hardwire switch won't work for me because it needs to be threaded behind the tray and it's too much of a bother. Sometimes I'll have marathon tf2 sessions where the battery is all but dead.....then you're stuck. Want to leave your rig on just to charge the battery when u go to bed? This design decision by razer was retarded.

Yes, receiver connects to USB port on rig so it is used to charge and send the signal from the mouse.
