I have a linksys wireless card and for some reason its capped at 100KB. I have updated the driver and reinstalled but it wont go any faster. I have reset my router and modem. Still have not got any better speeds. I have tried different servers. I first noticed it on the Steam network then on filefront when i was downloading a demo.
i talked to linksys support and they told me to do the following
2) Right click the local area connection that you are using then click properties.
3) Click the configure button then go to the Advanced tab.
4) look under the Properties section for Connection Type, Media Type, Connection Speed, Link Speed/Duplex Mode, or something similar. Change the Value from Auto to 10 Base-T, 10 half mode, 10 no duplex, or something similar
5. Click OK and then close.
i dont really understand what they wanted me to do but none of those settings are present and they just kept telling me its there. Im really lost on this and i have done everything i can think of. I appreciate any help on this matter
