Hello all,
I have a business cable connection in my basement with 5 IP address. Currently the basement holds the cable modem, Zyxel USG 50, and the servers.
I would like to move the servers upstairs, one floor between us, but there is no network cables nor any possibility to add them. My questions are:
1. Is it possible to go from the network out of the cable modem to a wireless bridge then into the router?
2. Is it possible that a single wireless bridge can route all 5 IP addresses between the two LANs?
3. Or do I need a single wireless bridge for each IP address?
4. If all 3 above fail, are there any ideas how I can go from the basement to the new location?
I do have a wireless access point, a D-Link DAP-1522 and checking the WiFi strength between the floors is excellent. So I would think bridging could be possible if it is the best way to go. In the future once I am able, I will get cabling done between the floors but right now, it is just not possible.
Thanks.
