Wireless Audio Setup Solutions Needed

THE SCENARIO-

I have a receiver and some speakers and I'm planning on hooking them up to an LCD TV in the living room. In another room I have my computer with all my MP3's and my girlfriend has her computer with MP3's she wants to play as well. There will be times when we will want to create a playlist with songs off both of our computers so I would transfer some of my songs to her computer and she would transfer some to mine, depending on whose computer we use. I would still like to watch TV (even if the TV has to be mute) while listening to music.

THE QUESTION-

My question is what will be a nice wireless way to set this up and what are my options?

I was thinking of setting a laptop as a server to store the music and create playlists and then have that connect to the receiver. Then I saw this and it appears as though it might do the trick. I'll probably get my own wireless router and just the viewsonic adapter to plug into the receiver or tv.

Can anyone recommend similar hardware, configurations, ideas or other setups that will be nice to have.
