I can't imagine at all why this sort of problem is existing in the first place.
Both me and my brother have custom built Windows 7 64-bit computers. We have different brand wireless USB adapters. The strange thing is that both only work if they are connected to a USB extension cable that's then connected to the PC.
If the adapter is connected to the PC directly, Windows shows us as being connected to our home wi-fi network, but will keep struggling to connect to a website until it finally times out.
We've had this problem for as long as we can remember but its starting to bug me and has me wondering why its happening.
I'm hoping you guys here can chime in and help me out, thanks.
