I have a desktop pc that is hard-wired to a cat6 gigabit network...here are the items:
D-link DIR-655 gigabit router
HP 1400-8G gigabit switch
PC in question uses a Marvell-Yukon onboard connection with transfer speed set to 1000 full duplex...
Problem is if I do a file transfer with the PC sending the data to my NAS or my laptop the rate is around 12MB/sec...if I download large files from either of those locations the rate is 60MB/sec...
I have 2 HDD in the PC that are SATA II so I wouldn't think that would be the problem...and furthermore when running netcps (like iperf) I still get the same speeds which means it isn't the HDDs right?
Any ideas?
