As i browse through the computer galleries here at [H] i noticed that almost, like 95% of ppl maybe or less than that, use wireless keyboard. not as much so as mouse as i have seen a fair number of wired mouse but keyboard, almost all of it is wireless.

my question: How reponsive is wireless keyboard when gaming? FPS or MMORPG games n etc. Would you go wireless or wired? or is it just most ppl here at [H] just want wireless for less clutter? or they go wireless because when gaming, it is much better than wired ones. Thinking about upgrading my mouse/keyboard, and browse through what most mouse/keyboard ppl use here at [H] via the pic galleries and amazed of the number of wireless keyboard.

everything is wired for me ... and will stick that way for a looooong time

most good gaming keyboards are wired, g15, merc stealth, etc. Personally I use g15 and if they made a wireless version of it I would give it a try.

Wireless just adds one more potential failure point and/or lag. Never had good luck with bluetooth mice or keyboards for instance, and that was even for non-gaming use. Wired all the way for me.

I'm using a wireless Logitech combo (MX3200 Laser) and have been VERY happy with it. The mouse is as good as anything Logitech has and the wireless keyboard has never given any issues. My PC's hooked up to my TV, so it's really the only option for me, BUT I'd stick to it even if I was at a desk. The only trick is making sure the receiver is in-line with where you are. It took some tinkering, but now I'd never know these weren't wired based on response.

Wireless technology caught up, as long as the batteries are good, and the reciever is close-by...

Only problem is weight-wise, the wireless mice weigh more because of batteries inside them... which is different to get used to.

Logitec g15 with the backlit keyboard and LED display all the way ! Games are supporting it out of the box and Rivatuner shows gpu temps, fan speeds etc and fraps will display on it as well with a sweet graph... The g15 with the macro keys is great for certain games if you can find one...

Wired is always better, so unless you have a strong reason to use a wireless keyboard for its portability (and there can't be many good ones) then just go with wired.

wired keyboard here, wireless mouse... just waiting on the next iteration of wireless logitech mouse...

G15 is amazing, even if you don't have a game that it supports, the macro recorder is a damn handy tool. I'm using it in games and regular windows now.

Everest has support for the LCD, I've got cpu temps, core usage, gpu temps time and a logo on it...

agreed.. any [H]ardcore gamer sticks with wired devices for optimal speeds, wireless is fine for wives and newbs :)
