this started out as your plain old, beige colored pos case, ive added or moded anything black, this is also my frist mod project, ive never tried anything up until i started this case

i have...

painted : case, frame, stealt drive covers, pctoys temp monitor, mouse, all black

added 3 windows, all have fan holes, main one has 2,

stealthed drives,

cut out fan gaurds built into case for more air flow

and added all new screws and such

now im running out of ideas, i think im gonna add a bunch of military style switches on the bottlom drive bay, the ones with the covers, for power, and cold cathodes, and then something neat for restart, as i destroyed my origional one trying to take it out of the front panel

i also think im going to frost logos onto all the windows, maybee the hl2 sign, i would tape off all the rest of the window execpt for the logo, then spray it from the inside with this spray on stuff i found at home depot

what do you think???

btw, paitn looks like complete ass in pics, but looks real nice in person, the flash just kinda catches all teh smudges on it from handling it so much recently

i keep seeing this less and less often but...why dont you switch the sides the motherboard mounts on?

looks great for your first mod.. however the paint seems a bit unfinished, maybe wet sand, paint, wet sand, paint, a few more times to get the 'shine'. But everything else looks great..

gg.

yah, the paint looks awful in that pic, but it looks good in person, im not bothered by it at all,

also, what do you guys think about my frosted window idea

I'd wait until HL2 drops and see if it's all that. It would suck to end up with a themed case for a bad game.

Now I want to build a case with a huge Daikatana logo cut into the side panel, just to be obnoxious... :D

frosted windows are cool, make something original along with it.

how many times do i need to say it?

For a first time mod looks pretty good. Only thing I can suggest is the wires you have running the the side fans. I would either hide them better, or cut/lengthen so you can make it more appealing. But for a first time good job.

i keep comming back to this and biting my tounge but i've got to say it now...

different colors, re do the paint

go to some place that sells auto paint in cans and pick a good color you like...it isnt that hard to do, but then again i've been doing it for a few years...

Not only that, but if you are going to have that much of a view into your case, you should paint the casings of the PSU and drives.

PS, try backing up from the case and taking a picture (even if you have to zoom in) the flash won't be able to show off the smudges if it isn't as close.
