WinXP + Sp2, when I view my video folders in thumbnail view after several seconds explorer.exe crashes, it never used too do this before. Any thoughts? Rig is in sig.

Depending on the codecs used, this may or may not be a fixable problem. For most video clips, thumbnails are useless because the video clip begins with black and fades into the content. The are especially unnecessary if you have DivX backups of your DVDs, and you have named them appropriately. To disable the thumbail for video functionality, open regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}
Delete InProcServer32

DivX/DivX clones, especially the hacked versions, seem to be problematic with regard to this issue.

I had this problem with videos that were encoded with the XviD codec, and the problem went away after I reinstalled the codec. So if you can figure out if one particular codec is causing the problem, and then reinstall that codec, all should work out.
