WinXP Pro SP2 reading used HDD space wrong...

When I right click on my HDD(C:\) and go to properties, it shows that I have 12.2GB of used space and 136GB free. But when I open my HDD and select all>properties, it says I only have 7.91GB used. I just popped in the latest MaximumPC CD and it shows that I have 140.035GB of free space which is the correct reading. Where did XP lose those 5gigs to and why is it reading wrong??? TIA

System Restore, page file, other hidden "Operating System" files.

You can change the System Restore properties by right-clicking My Computer and checking out the tab for it.

Everything else...don't turn off the setting to hide protected OS files unless you absolutely need to (for whatever reason) and if you're not sure about anything, google or post.
