I have a windows XP pro SP1 cd that has worked many times when formatting my computer but now when i try and load it, in the bios screen, with a blank HD, it says 'pci.sys is midding'
or many of the setup files cannot be found when tryign to copy them over after the format. the cd is perfectly clean and ive used several cd drives, a samsung 8x dvdrw, 48x cdrom, 52x cdrw, etc. no worky anyone have any ideas ?

system specs are in sig

There's some other problem in your system. I'd check memory first.

the cd wont work in either of the two systems, one system gives 'pci.sys is missing' and the 915 system says 'drivers.cab and oembios.bin are not found' and you need those two files heh. funny thing is, my xp home cd works fine, just this professional cd is messed up, but the cd is perfectly clean ont he bottom, VERY minor scratches from the cd spinning around.
