WinXP Interface Replacement

I was wondering if anyone has a good suggestion for an interface tweek program for WinXP. Something like litestep for instance. Thanks for any ideas.
 
Uxtheme.dll replacement, and downloaded skins. It works, it's completely free, and it takes up no extra resources.
 
Hey folks, I've been trying to skin my desktop using the uxtheme replacement for sp2 and some MSSTYLES themes with no luck. I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong! I can get the general theme but not the style with the start bar mods and the extra wndows like the clock, calander, etc.

Before you say it, yes I've tried renaming & replacing the uxtheme.dll file from within normal windows and windows safe mode.

Also, I've found skins in two ways; lightstar visual theme installer [exe file] and zipped packages which contain a style file, theme file and the like.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Replace the file by using the recovery console. Then, you need to make sure the themes are in the correct file structure. Look in C:\Windows\Resources for the right structure, and don't rename the folders with the themes inside.
 
Checkout Blackbox for windows, it's a window manager that's perhaps equally extensible as litestep, but waaaaaaaaaaaaay without the huge learning curve.

one you can click continue, the other you have to buy after 3 days.........i never seem to have a problem with it, windows blinds that is

WindowsBlinds has been running on this machine for several days now without reboot. It is taking up 948KB of memory. What are you talking about

EDIT: Windows Blinds blows Style XP out of the water. I'm looking at the "features" list on their website and you can pretty much do the same stuff with a patched uxtheme.dll . Correct me if I'm wrong. With Windows Blinds I can put my max/min/restore buttons on the left to look more like OS X. Can you do that with Style XP?
