winXP, idiot-proof the OS/application interface?

My boss seems to break things on his computer quite often. Things like accidentally removing toolbars in Word, turning off the "preview pane" window in Outlook, etc. Is there a 3rd party program or some other way of locking all these custom configuration things down?
