WinXP: Changing the boot drive

I'm moving my 40 gig drive to a new computer, but now I realize that it has the partition with the bootsector and boot.ini on it (C: ). My main operating system is on a different drive (E: ). How would I go about making E: bootable without formatting the entire thing?
