I just started using Windows Server 2003 Ent. for a fileserver in my home. I've been able to figure out how setup an account and do filesharing, but I can not get a successful connection for WinVNC. When I try and connect to the computer using WinVNC, I get the following error, "The connection closed unexpectedly"

I'm pretty sure its because I don't have the proper permissions/security settings in place, but I have no clue what I need to change to allow it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

you should use what I use to access my file server remotely, it's called ultravnc.
I can access my server from any computer within my home and if you have a static ip address, you can access your server from anywhere in the world.

I've played around with UltraVNC a little bit, but it still has the same issue of not being able to connect because of some sort of security issue.

I've checked firewall already, doesn't seem like there is one enabled by default on Server.

Any particular reason your aren't clicking the option to enable remote desktop access and using the Microsoft remote desktop client?
