I have a hp elitebook 2730p that I bought used, the system powered on and posted. There was no hdd drive included, so I bought a refurbished 64GB wintec msata ssd. the issue I am having is that the laptop does not seem to recognize the ssd. When I hooked the ssd up to my desktop with a msata adapter the ssd was recognized. my question is does anyone know of any special settings I need to use to get the laptop to see the ssd or is the motherboard bad? I haven't been able to find any info on google to suggest I need any special settings, but maybe someone knows for sure.
I have also tried upgrading the bios and swapping out the motherboard to no avail.
