Well thats what it says on the cards cable tuner. Anyhow I have a couple questions about this thing not even sure if this is the right forum. But my TV died and I just do not see the point in dropping a couple thousand on a new TV these days. Would rather wait till TV technology settles down and I feel like I can buy something that will last. So I am now running my cable through a spare computer and a spare monitor with this card which was given too me.

The first problem is I can't figure out what exactly my card is. As in what model to get the latest drivers for it. The part number is w1200424, I think. So perhaps if I could figure out what exactly that is called on leadteks site I could get the newest drivers. It is older though.

I have sound blaster audigy and I want this card to run its sound through the system sound but when I bring up the configurations I see nothing, perhaps those are only recording configurations though.

The second thing is I have several of these 24" wide screen CRT monitors and I want this card to add vertical bands so I can run in full screen but not have the image stretched for good reasons, I do not want laura croft to look fat, and I do not want burn in on the display if I leave it in windowed mode and watch TV for hours, which is the only way I can get a true 4:3 picture right now.

Most current generation Plasma and LCD Panels now last 40,000-60,000 hours+

This is about 27 years if you watch it 6 hours a day (60,000 hours), how long do you want a TV to last lol? The technology has well settled down.

Have you physically inspected the card? If I remember rightly the model is written on the tuner.

Yeah I have but the name on the tuner does not specifically state which exact model it is, maybe that doesn't matter.

As for the TVs, well for most of my life there was just TV now you call it SDTV in the past very short while we have jumped from plasmas to LCDs & DLP from 1024x768 all the way up to 1080p and to top it all off none of the TVs really offer it all for picture quality. Now we are even seeing the TV market offer varied refresh rates. I just cant see spending 800 to a thousand or more for something that will probably be out dated quickly. Now that the TV watchers have finally become sentient, they have been quickly trying to catch up to where computers have been for displays in many regards and they are doing it so quickly I can't imagine that the top of the line we have now is where it will stop.
