I am trying to figure out why my windows xp SP3 machines will not go into standby / sleep when they are locked.
I have searched and searched and the only other thing I can find on google is someone else with this problem :

but it was never answered.
Has anyone seen this behavior and know a way around it? These XP machines are on a domain. The power profile is set as follows.
Screen saver after 30 minutes
Turn off monitor after 45 minutes
System standby after 1 hour
However if I leave a machine sitting there all day it will go to screensaver and shut the monitor off, but will never sleep. If I disable the screen saver from locking the machine the sleep works fine. Very weird.
