Well my daughter's computer is jacked up again. She is running WinXP Sp3.

When the computer boots up, it automatically goes to the safe mode boot screen without pressing F8. You know the one that gives you the option of booting into windows normaly or one of the three safe mode options. It doesn't boot into safe mode however.

It will NOT allow me to boot into safe mode either or boot normally or any other option for that matter and it just restarts and goes back into that screen again. The disks that came with the computer will not allow me to do a recovery or repair only a clean install, something I don't want to do.

What can I do?

Thanks.

boot it up, hit Run and type in MSCONFIG then click the Boot tab and make sure "Safe Boot" is not checked, if it is, uncheck it, click apply and reboot.

How is he supposed to do that with a pc that will not boot?
