Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
that is a big "difference". The data you send to the harddrive can contain whatever data (allowed by the protocol, of course). It has nothing to do with the width of the cpu's address bus.
Rgratto2, I did all of that before posting here. Didn't find anything definitive on any previous Hardforum thread (and contrary to your claim that the question is asked ALL the time, I didn't find a lot of really relevant results). And I found a lot of conflicting information on Google results. Hence, my post here.
Thanks again to those who actually answered my question, and also to those who, as I'm noticing now after I initially left the thread a while ago, actually contributed to a fairly lively discussion after that.
