I had an external harddrive on my Desktop, With security set so only my username and administrator could access it.

That computer took a crash and the harddrive is hooked up to my netbook currently, But now i cant access the folders i had locked to my account.

How exactly do i go about getting back into them?

I right clicked, and went to security. then advanced. Then owners tab. and clicked the checkbox to apply to all sub-folders and such. and tried changing it to my account name and that didnt work, then i tried administrators. and that didnt either. It changes it to them, but i still cant open the files.

Am i doing it wrong?

UPDATE: Apparently i had these files encrypted.... and the Windows on this netbook isn't XP Pro, Sooooo.... Am i out of luck completely?
