Windows Xp disk scan every boot up

I have 2 hd which is split into 2 partition c and d. Everytime i boot up to windows, it will want to do the disk scan on drive d. I think it happened when i formatted the c drive to do a fresh installation of drive c and it like prob saved that task on drive d or something and i dont know how to get rid of it. I tried scanning the drive d and etc, doesnt want to go away.

There may be a simpler fix, but, when that happened to me, I did a complete scan. With both the fix errors and scan/fix bad sectors checked.. The problem went away for me..
