So I am using my Realtek onboard audio with my Gigabyte GA-K8N51GMF-9, but with Windows XP 64 bit the audio won't work. I have tried the drivers on the CD, the drivers from Realtek's website, and the drivers from Gigabyte's website. It just doesn't work. I have checked the connections with my speakers, the volume isn't muted, the volume is up, and the audio device is selected as active. Anyone have a similar issue?

My advice to you is to ditch the Realtek and buy a SoundBlaster Audigy SE - costs less than $30.

Creative has 64bit WinXP drivers.

I could never get RealTek to produce anything close to accetable sound quality. It sucked so bad that it's virtually useless in my opinion. Spend the $30, disable RealTek, and enjoy.
