Hy everyone,

I have a problem with a laptop. The type is Medion MD97680. I do not seem to get wifi working. I even made a fresh install but it does not seem to work. When I connect ethernet it works fine. I also installed the wireless driver.

When I go to device manager it says that there is no update for that driver and that the driver is working correct.

I have been searching and searching but I do not find the problem of this issue.

Is there enyone with the expertise who can help me with this?

Thanks in advance

Simple check, do you have a physical switch on your laptop for the wireless or does your laptop use a combination of the Fn key and one of the F keys.

The second one is a little trickier. Some manufacturers have a software switch that comes in the shape of a software package that came with the laptop. You might have to download the software again from the website.

Last but not least, could it be a compatiblity issue with WPA2, did you get a new router or change the settings.

Hi,
Thanks for your swift reply. The laptop does not have a phisical switch. The FN key does not work. Is there a way to go arround the FN key?

I reinstalled the laptop with the disc that came with the laptop. The laptop has all updates installed.

I didn't change any of the settings off my router.

Hi,

I solved the issue. Appearantly I had to install the touchpad driver (makes no sense).

Thanks
