I get a Error Code 80073712 when i try to update my vista.

I have been all over google, and nothing works. Can anyone help?... :confused:

I got the same thing. It's due to a firewall (your router) blocking it. I forget how to fix it since this happened a while ago, but if you click on HELP it will tell you how.
 
Dont think that is the problem. It has been working fine for a long time, it just started.:mad:

I fixed the problem:

1. Click Start Start button , type %windir%\winsxs in the Start Search box
2. Press ENTER.
3. Locate and right-click the pending.xml file.
4. Click to select Properties.
5. Click the Security tab, and then click Edit.
6. Add your user account.
7. Click Users, and then click to select Allow Full control.
8. Click OK two times.
9. Try to delete the pending.xml file.
