I don't know which version to buy. I am thinking toward the Home Premeium version as apposed to the ultimate edition. I know the main differences are the networking, bit encryption and a few other business things.

Keep in mind that I have a 64 bit processor. I know it will not do an inplace upgrade and will do a clean install. I do not want to do this...Change my mind.

It all depends if you really want to use all the bells and whistles that Ultimate has to offer. HP will do for most people, but Ultimate hints at some "extras" somewhere down the road. $80 difference just in the OEMs, could buy a lot of software "extras"Legally. you can do a "custom install" which will just roll the old OS into a folder you can delete later, and install a full version of Vista. Upgrades are always kind of tricky, more so with Vista ,as a lot of older software won't play nice with Vista.
