I installed Vista with VMWare but I can't get my network connection working. Do I need to install the Vista drivers for my particular network adapter or is it different for a virtual machine? I am using the onboard network adapter on my DFI Expert motherboard.

Have you tried Virtual PC from microsoft? It's free and worked like a charm here with Vista. I'm running XP and had the beta running in Virtual PC without any probs.

You have to turn on a network adapter in the VM, and install VMWare tools.

That said, it runs a bit choppy. I didn't muck with the config much, so it may be trying to render in 3d.

I've tried installing VMWare Tools but it kind of half works. I can connect to my home network and access shared printers and folders but I still can't access the internet.

I think if you can access that stuff, but not the net...your problem is not the virtual vista. What networking mode are you using? NAT or Bridged?

Ok I just changed networking mode from bridged to NAT and now its working fine.
