Is it just me or have there been no updates for XP in the past 3-4 weeks? I check on a weekly basis and have seen nothing..... Just wondering if something was wrong on my end. I know they are working on XPSP2, but can't they do both at once.....Microsoft? hello, hello *crickets chirping* :p

heck it says "Windows Update Error" for me, error #0x800A138F  . I wouldn't know if there are any recent updates.

There hasnt been any updates from microsoft because december was suppose to be the "no update month" i guess to give themselves a break and time off heh..

and as for the error you're getting try this site.

should help you out. i had the same error and it hepled me greatly..

It is because Microsoft is no longer releasing updates on a weekly schedule, and is switching to a monthly schedule for releases for all patches except for those directly involved with security. They've announced this back in early December or late November.

I know this will break Kyle's heart now that he can't do the "weekly Windows patch" bit on the front page any more, but it's being done this way so that they can better polish up the non-security-critical patches before release and have a schedule that is more stable and regular for IT departments who hate having to check every other day for possible necessary patches.
