Windows Update Oddity - .NET Framework 1.1 SP1?

I recently installed my new rig with SP2 already on the XP disc (legit OEM version fwiw) and ran Windows Update first thing. Downloaded all the security updates, Windows Media 10, .NET Framework 1.1 etc. After I reboot I double check Windows Update just to make sure everything went OK, and now its telling me .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 is a high priority. Why is it asking me to download again, let alone as a SP1 update? How would that work with SP2? Im a little wary of downloading it. Can anyone give me some light on this?
 
It's the first service pack to the .NET-framework v.1.1 , completely unrelated to Service Pack 1 and 2 for Windows itself. Install it.
 
Note that if you already have the ".Net Framework hotfix" installed, that the .Net Framework service pack won't install and you'll keep seeing it show up via automatic updates or Windows Update as ready to install, but it will fail to install and won't tell you why. (The message as to why can be found by drilling down several pages deep on Windows update, but is not present when you're using the automatic updates service.)

If you uninstall the .Net Framework hotfix (through control panel add/remove programs) and then install the .Net Framework service pack it will succeed.
