So i have the WD Sata II 160G HDD and I installed windows and everything works fine except windows keeps tryin to have me remove it. The safely remove hardware thing will not leave my sytem tray. please someone help me fix this. Thanks

O and I have an asus a8n-sli premium if that matters.

The nvidia RAID controller actually shows all its attached drives as removable since SATAII is hot swap capable. It's normal.

ok thank you. Is there anyway i can make it so it doesn't show in my bar?

Right click on the toolbar>properties>click on customize on the bottom> and then find that icon and select "always hide". Thats the best that you can do, you cant "get rid of it"

Click "start" Right click, hit "properties"...check off " hide Inactive icons" then click "customize" then under " safely remove hardware" check "always hide"

Haha, I must have just caught it at the moment. I myself had to go thru the steps as I do it without thinking, but when I have to type it down, I redo it.
