Looking for a windows tablet

something that is between 8 to 10 inch preferably with 1920x1080 (or1200) resolution.
2GB ram
64GB storage would be nice
GPS would be also welcome
wifi/bluetooth
and full size USB is a must
 
Are you wanting opinions on what to buy or are you trying to buy from someone off the forums? If the latter, then this might be better on the For Sale/Trade.
 
looking at options :)

I have Asus Transformer now, and its a good tablet, but resolution is low, no GPS and USB is on the keyboard instead of the tablet.
 
I was about to name a few but the only ones I've found with a full size USB is the Dell Venue 11 Pro and the MS Surface 2/3, just in a quick search. And not sure if they match the other specs that you're wanting.
 
I have a surface pro 2, not great for tablet use cause of the wait i.e. sitting on the couch and swiping through stuff. Asus has a $350 transformer like tablet running on an intel atom but the usb is in the keyboard. I like my surface, just with they would scrape the RT and make it an ATOM with full windows 8.

The best one available right now is the HP Stream 8.

Otherwise, I'll wait for those CES windows tablets to become available.
 
Well, I've Lenovo Miix 2. I use it only as typewriter, as it's not suitable for anything else. Even Kaspersky slogs down the tablet. But, as a typewriter during business trips it works okay.

THe problem with Windows tablets are, that you either have very expensive Surface Pro, or the cheap crap. THere is nothing in the middle. That's why I am getting myself new iPad - for gaming, movies and such. Windows tablet is now officially my worst tech purchase of last year.
 
You get what you pay for so paying $100-200 will get you that tier of user experience. One of the biggest bottlenecks with that tier is the use of slow eMMC storage especially lower than version 5. For not much than a $699 iPad Air 2 128GB you can get a business class fanless Thinkpad Helix2 128GB SATA3 SSD that blows the toy away in consumption, productivity and creativity with the precision pen, CPU performance that's faster than dual-socket 3GHz Xeon 5160 and an amazing 8-9 hour battery life streaming twitch.tv full screen theater mode at 1080p. iPads and even ARM tablets are dead.

If you live in States that is. In here even Helix 1st gen cost double of iPad 64gb. 2nd edition is not aviable, but looking at US price it will be even more expensive.

I don't need such pricey device for CMS word processing. I have my cheap writing device and now I'm getting something to play the Internet content.

Sorry the Miix 2 didn't work out for you. These Windows 8.1 Bay Trail tablets seem to overall get pretty positive reviews and feedback for their performance levels, considering the price. I've been very surprised at how well even 1 GB devices perform, though 2 GB is much better for running multiple apps.

I do see your point, there are a lot of cheap Windows tablets now, but until you get to about $700 to $800 there don't seem to be a lot of devices between. With Core M and Cherry Trail on the way I would expect to see a more devices in the middle.

As for the OPs needs, I really can't think of anything at the lower end that comes with a full sized USB these days. Full HD and resolutions are also a bit tough to find cheap, though there are the unbranded tablets like the Chinese Teachlast devices that some people have been buy stateside.
 
I wish there was an inbetween on the windows tablets as well. I have a Stream 8 and love it (with the exception of some wifi issues). I carry the MS Universal Mobile Keyboard and a Logitech T630 and use it daily. As much as I love it though the experience has opened me up to the possibility of a mid tier tablet with more ram. It's a price point that nobody fulfills successfully.
 
The Asus Chi's look pretty good. I'm torn between the T100 and T300, the T100 is a better size as a tablet, the T300 could be a laptop replacement (might be a bit much running visual studio and a 4k monitor). I'm waiting for the reviews to come out.
 
I have a Surface Pro (1st Gen with power cover, freedom case, and surface ears) and Stream 8. I thought that Stream 8's free lifetime of TMo (4G) 200MB per month would come in handy, but not really. I don't read that many books or need to use it over my HTC One M8. So I hardly use it. If the Stream 8 had better "stereo" speakers (both speaker on the bottom), I might use it more. (I also have a Verizon hotspot from work with unlimited data - government contract.)

As for watching videos like YouTube and Netflix, all three of my devices are fine, and I use the Surface Pro for that most, second choice would be my phone most due to audio. Office stuff, Surface Pro as well, but the Stream 8 would be my second choice (I also have a bluetooth Logitech mobile keyboard).

BTW, the Stream 8 only starts chugging when I have more than 8 tabs open on Chrome. Otherwise, the processing power/RAM is definitely enough for "office productivity." I'm obviously not going to play a graphic intensive game or develop on it. The WEI score is 5.9, with the limiting factor being the 1GB of RAM. (My work computer is 4.8 because of graphics...)

Games I play on the Surface Pro: Civilization 5, Europa Universalis 4, and the CS and TF2.
