Windows SMP client and Vista...

How do you get the SMP client working properly in Vista? Does anyone have this running? Thanks in advance.

Disable the UNC shit. Or it sould be U something something. Starts with a U and have a N and a C in it... Something in the users account stuff on Shitsta. If you can't find it let me know as it's around here someplace.

Basically, disable the UAC who are preventing you from running the SMP client without the nagging notifications.

I don't want to disable UAC right now. I'll wait until a proper client comes out.

Since you have a E6300, a good alternative would be to run VMWare, install a 64 bit Linux distro in it and run SMP there. No issues with UAC from what I see around.

VMWare is free for home users but I believe Virtual PC 2007 would work fine as well. Just try and see if it is worth your time
