How do you get the SMP client working properly in Vista? Does anyone have this running? Thanks in advance.

Disable the UNC shit. Or it sould be U something something. Starts with a U and have a N and a C in it... :) Something in the users account stuff on Shitsta. If you can't find it let me know as it's around here someplace.

mary, it's spelled U.... A..... C....

I don't want to disable UAC right now. I'll wait until a proper client comes out.

Since you have a E6300, a good alternative would be to run VMWare, install a 64 bit Linux distro in it and run SMP there. No issues with UAC from what I see around.

Is VMWare free?? I already have Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. Will that work? Thanks.

VMWare is free for home users but I believe Virtual PC 2007 would work fine as well. Just try and see if it is worth your time :)
