Just wondering if there's any reason NOT to use SBS? It's a small shop (4 people), and SBS has stuff we need (Exchange, SQL) preinstall and set up.

Reasons not to use it: Your business needs exceed its limits.

Your Reason: None, just uses SBS (although if you use normal server you could outsource the mail to the cloud, then use sql express. Gets exchange off your back less to manage is always better)

Think about the needs.

SBS Standard does not come with SQL, Premium Edition does.

Does your office do any e-mail?
Do you have any remote access needs?
Faxing needs? Paper free faxing? Fax from desktop?
Collaboration needs?
Built in backup?

...Then SBS is great fit for you....it has tools for all the above.

From my experience with SBS....even if people think they won't need or use those features..once they know it's there..and once they begin to use it..they're like "Wow..this is great!!!" And they love it.

I don't see a shop of 4 exceeding the limits of SBS (75 users) in the near or even somewhat down the road. If so....it's a sign of success..and you'd certainly have the resources to upgrade to the next step by then.
