Windows Server 2008 alternative to VIsta for gaming?

I recently downloaded the Windows Server 2008 on DreamSpark and I was thinking of installing it but I wonder how well would it work with games. Is it a good alternative to Vista? Any one know a link that I can or cant do with Windows Server compared to Vista?

It has all the information to making Server 2008 a great workstation. And it's great for gaming, I've heard. I haven't tested it out yet, though. So, make sure you let us know how it goes.

If you search for 'vista gaming server 2008' in this forum you'll find quite a few threads on this very same subject. It's pretty much a dead horse that's beaten often. There's a thread on this page that follows this same train of thought.

I'm sure it will work for gaming, once you've done the required work. But there's no reason why it should be better, despite what people will say.

Now that DX10 is included, I dont see why not. But in all honesty, how could it be that much different from Vista x64.
