Windows Rules The iPhone

I think it's a slap to both sides- it's not running Mac OS, AND they haven't bought a Vista license! :p

Screen saver, I'd assume

1. If it's a store display (which it is), why would it have a screen saver?!
2. That would be a pretty sweet screensaver for a desktop... put that one a co-workers machine and watch them sit at their desk and stare at the monitor waiting for it to boot.

it probably is a PC running Windows XP, think about it......... it's just a demo display, and the hardware pretty much sits behind the scenes, it'd be pretty expensive to use Macs to run these displays just because the iPhone is an Apple product.............. it's probably only showing some kind of looping demo, so why not use some PC you can put together for a couple hundred dollars versus a Mac that'd run at least $600 or so for the cheapest mini.............. personally, i'd have designed it with a flat panel TV and a DVD playing the same content, would make it even cheaper.............. but it's definately not a Mac running bootcamp, because why would it be?

I'm not exactly down with this article's title, myself. "Windows Rules The iPhone" don't exactly sound like good journalism to me. But that doesn't matter much.

Kinda like when developers are so stoked about their new product, and then they show it at E3... and CRASH. lol...

Dude it's a 24 word, 2 sentence description of a picture... When you're the [H] you're allowed to talk shit to apple anyway.

The reason the “interactive” demo is ran on a PC is the same reason why Macintosh computers have very little support/software. Windows has some of the easiest/quickest APIs to develop with. Developing software for a Windows environment is a lot easier than developing software for a Macintosh environment. The demo you see in the AT&T stores is a quick and dirty applet based off some sort of RAD (i.e. Flash, Shockwave, etc…). It would have been financially unfeasible for Apple to release it on anything else…
