Hey Guys, I am having a weird problem that is driving me crazy.

At an office that I support I seem to be having some really whacky PPtP issues. Here is the setup:

-Business Cable Internet (10Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up)
-Fortigate FG60 Router/Firewall
-VPN Pass Through is Enabled to a Fresh Server 2003 Install (R1 with SP2 - updated)
-PPtP is running on the 2003 box as the Fortigate will not forward DNS queries over its integrated VPN solutions.

So PPtP connects all fine and dandy but after around 3 minutes of idling or heavy traffic the PPtP tunnel just dies. I can reconnect 2 seconds later and it works for another 3 minutes. This is DRIVING me INSANE!!!!! lol

There is 0% packet loss on 1000 pings to the site during this time. I am really at a loss as to why it is dropping it.

I am using the integrated Windows XP SP2 PPtP client and I have tested this from 2 machines that run on different ISP's. The only thing that I hae not tried is connecting to the VPN internally as I do not have access to the site right now. This would obviously rule out the firewall but no go on that for a couple days.

Any ideas?
