Windows pointer schemes drop-down gone (cursors still there)

Under Control Panel/Mouse/Pointers, my pointer schemes drop-down menu choices have somehow disappeared. I have all of the cursors in my Windows/Cursors folder, but the drop-down menu choices are gone. Actually I have been able to get some drop down choices back in there from my XP Home CD, but I have not recovered all of the choices I had. Specifically, the pointer scheme I like to use is the Inverted Extra Large scheme. That one no longer appears in the Schemes drop-down menu.

Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.
