Windows only sees 2.5gb of my ram

I just installed two more sticks of ram in my rig. I now have two 1 gig sticks and two 512 meg sticks. The problem is windows only sees 2.5gb. I have put them in all the different slot combinations possible but no dice. My Bios sees 3 gig and CPUZ does as well. But Sisoft and in the system screen it says 2.5gb. I have tried the /3gb switch in the boot.ini although that should only be for 4 gb systems. Any ideas ?

I'd try a BIOS upgrade on your motherboard.

Try upgrading from Windows ME...

I think you need at least NT to utilize more than 2.5 GB of RAM.

Thanks Xipher...I read that thread from 2cpu and it looks like it has something to do with my SLI setup. One guy says that in a dual pcie setup with 256 meg boards you would see this. I will see if I can fix it somehow.
