Got a problem. When I go to shut down Windows and I click on the Start>Turn off Computer, the whole system hangs. Sometimes, it goes to the Log off, restart, shut off menu. Most of the time it jkust hangs though. Any suggestions? no memory errors recently on mem test, and Prime 95 returned no errors. I remeber reading about a USB hang or something to that matter, but I can't remember where I read it. Thanks for any advice or avenues to explore

Do a bit of trial an error. Open up the processes tab on your task manager and look for some odd looking processes. google the ones that your not familiar with. try shutting down a process one by one and then shutting down windows. This may eventually highlight the process that's causing you problems.

Just for laughs, perhpas run Spybot.

thanks, it's amazing when an outside view highlights something that I have been overlooking. Thanks, i'll give it a try
