windows not reporting my 2600k correctly?

I'm running an ASUS P8P67 with the latest bios installed

i have a core i7 2600k installed. Everything is running stock and i have not changed any settings.

When i go into control panel under systems windows reports my 2600k running at 3.4ghz @3.7ghz ?

I thought 2600k was running turbo @ 3.8ghz? shouldnt it state that?

iam running G.skill 1333mhz 1.5v ripjaw ram from newegg.

When it's using turbo, it could be at any step in between 3.4 and 3.8ghz. 3.8 is the max, but depending on system load, temps, power draw, etc, it could be 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, or 3.8ghz at any given time in turbo.

but why in win7 where it displays your system info and index score wouldn't display 3.8ghz and not 3.7? as the max ?
