Windows Media Player Problems

I just Reinstalled winblows onto my computer because my X850XT took a crap and I figured I would wipe it while I was waiting for the RMA. Formatted/Installed windows and then downloaded some car videos and the divx player/codec and Creative Mediasource. Went to play the files and you can see like the first 3 seconds and then the video stops but the music keeps playing and the slider keeps going. When you try to X it out/ ctrl alt delete it hard locks the computer. The video's play fine in DivX player, but they freeze in Mediasource also. I know the files are fine because they play fine in DivX player.

Songs work fine in WMP. I updated WMP to the newest one and I still have the same problem. Does anyone know what It could possibly be? Let me know, thanks.
