Windows logoff script?

I have a program, that if left running when logging off, causes it to fail to work for other users. I was wondering if there's a way to write a script to close the program automatically when logging off, BEFORE Windows actually does so.

Anyone have any advice?

You could put a batch file on your desktop using taskkill.

Yes, but is there a way to have it run automatically? The rest of my family isn't teribly computer literate, and I don't like icons on my desktop. Bad combination right there. Also, it's just a pain in the ass to remember to load that before I (or someone else) logs off.
