Windows Live Mail Gmail

Hi I've got Windows Live mail setup to send and recieve mail using my gmail account. My problem is that it doesnt show received mail until I either close out of Windows Live Mail and reopen it or if I click the receive all button at the top. Shouldnt It automatically show recieve mail as soon as I recieve it? Any info is greatly appreciated. Stu

No, it doesn't automatically do any sending/recieving unless you click the button. Works just like Outlook.

Windows Live Mail by default will check for mail every 30 minutes. You may run into some issues with this application. For example from time to time WLM will get new mail but the application does not properly refresh and it will not notify me of new mail or you have to double click a mail box and the mail will pop up. In my case though KIS 2009 could be interfering with the applications

Check under (Tools>>Options>General Tab) to see if it is set to 30 minutes or assigned to not check for mail at all.
