Windows links not working? Help!

This just started happening a few days ago but when i click on a link on any web pages it opens in a new window and nothing loads on the page, so now i have to right click the link (save as target) and paste it in my windows address bar. I haven't changed any windows settings and have also ran Microsoft Antispyware, AdAware, spybot S&D, plus a sweep with Norton Antivirus. Any suggestions would be welcomed.... Thanks in advance
