Windows keep changing the default audio device.

Here's my problem: I use analog output from my soundcard to play audio, but I have my monitor connected trough DP, and windows keeps changing the default audio device to my monitor. No matter if I set speakers out as default. If the monitor goes to sleep, and then back, windows recognizes it and immediately and sets it as the default audio device. The same happens if I turn off / on my monitor, or even unplug it for some reason. The only solution I found so far is disabling all audio devices in the device manager. But that is a temporary solution too, because if I happen to install new drivers for my vga, I'm back to square one.

Ok, it's not a colossal problem I can disable the devices after each driver installation, but still I'd like to know if there is a better way.

Go into your video driver and see if there is an option to turn off Audio for the DP connection.
