So I just installed a store bought version of Windows XP Home Edition and am running into problems downloading some files from the internet. One example is when I download I-Tunes from the website to update my cd installed version, I get the errors" Some Installation Files are corrupt", "Please download a clean version". Has anyone else gotten this error? Could this have something to do with a security setting on my computer because when I downloaded the 247mb driver files for my printer I get a "check sum" error. Even windows update itself is having trouble downloading and installing all of the updates.

Any Ideas?

I get this error sometimes if I left click the Download button on a site. If I right click it then left click Save Target As, save the install file and run it from the hard drive, no error.

Could be that your ram might be bad. Run memtest on it for a couple hours.
