I've been wanting to use my current Win2K3 Server (with 6-drive RAID5) as a Windows Home Server machine.

The one hang-up I've had is whether WHS would work with my 3Ware 9500S-8 SATA RAID/Accellerator card.

I sent an email to 3Ware support and they (very promptly, I might add) wrote back that the card should work just dandy under WHS using the Win2K3 driver set.

I suspected this, but wanted to hear it from them first :)

So I'm going to bring in an OEM copy of WHS (waiting to see if it is available on TechNet Plus first - I just joined).

Once I work this out and test, I'll write back with the _actual_ results.

For now, while not officially supported it appears it should work.

If anyone else has already done this, please let us known!

yeah, my subscription hasn't hit yet, but the info I was able to dig up doesn't show it.

I think it's because it's a 'home' technology, not a business technology. MS's programs usually only cover business technology.

I ordered it from Newegg. They have it for $20 off. Total was $169.
