Windows Freeze / Long boot up

On Saturday night my pc froze when I woke up. This has happed about 3-4 other times within 2 weeks that I have left it on overnight. Now when I boot up, my Windows loads but doesn't completely load. I'm able to use the start menu and what not. If I try to access the internet or My Computer my HDD LED goes on and my computer finishes loading all the other processes. Is this a motherboard problem? I bought my new mb / cpu / raptor about 2 weeks ago. I tried ReInstalling Windows several times.


My current config is:
P3.2@stock
Abit IC7-Max3
1gig pc 3200 Munskin lvl 1
1x36.7Raptor ( has OS on it )
2x120 Western Digital
Windows XP
 
I'd say Windows problem here. It may be due to high temps, but i can't be certain. Try booting into safe mode and see if it does it. I'd be taking a stab in the dark though, so maybe someone else may have to help you.
